All connecting rods are cleaned and inspected for defects prior to remanufacture. Rods are shotpeened for stress relief and the size is checked against OEM specifications. New piston pin bushings are installed in each rod and bored to the correct center to center dimensions. The center to center dimension greatly affects the performance of your engine and is a step that many remanufactures ignore. Final assembly of our connecting rods includes the installation of new rod bolts and a complete verification of all product dimensions.
