When the deck plates on a New Holland® 974 get thin, bent or scalloped, you start paying for it in ears and kernels left in the field. This replacement deck plate replaces OEM Part Number 9825691 and 86611428 and can be used on either the right or left side of 974 cornheads, restoring a straight, even surface so stalks pull through and ears ride the chains instead of dropping out the front. Tightening up that gap is one of the simplest ways to clean up header loss before you ever touch a setting in the cab.
Running a matched pair of these plates across each row lets the head feed more consistently in down corn and uneven stands, so the 974 can keep doing what it was built to do instead of fighting worn steel at the row unit. Abilene Machine reserves the right to inspect any or all parts returned for warranty before warranty claims will be honored.
