When it comes to new seat options at Abilene Machine, we have several viable options in the Grammer family of award winning replacement seats → 742, 741 and 731. What are the differences between the three seat tops you ask? We'll carefully go through the specifications of the 731 seat assembly from Grammer, below.
The 731 Brown Matrix is an excellent option as a replacement seat to accompany the air suspension or mechanical suspension in your John Deere® tractor! The 731 is a budget friendly option for a replacement seat. We offer this seat top because we understand the high level of comfort that farmers and ranchers demand at an affordable price.
A 17.50" backrest and a 20.50" wide seat cushion separate this replacement seat from its close relatives, the 742 and the 741. The seat provides maximum comfort with adjustable lumbar support and a backrest that reclines from -10° to +24°. Folding armrests make entering and exiting the seat a breeze.
Abilene Machine has made it incredibly easy to install with our 'Plug & Play' system. Your new tractor seat can be easily installed on a Grammer Suspension or your factory suspension with our installation kit. Our kit allows you to plug the Operator Presence Switch directly into your machine without causing any damage by dangerously splicing into your wiring harness.
Abilene Machine has carefully designed a kit (pictured above) to allow the MSG83 to fit into Early 30 Series John Deere® Tractors.
Early 30 Series have a narrow seat-well measuring roughly 7". The Late Model 30 Series has an 11" seat-well and will accept a larger suspension.
Unsure if you have an Early or a Late model? The easiest way to determine if you have an Early or Late, is to look at your cab door. If the door has a twist handle, it's an Early. If it has a push button handle, it's a Late model.
Our narrow mechanical suspension delivers incredible value with uncompromising quality, premium materials and a wide range of features. Despite its small dimensions, it boasts all standard operating features of a robust mechanical suspension.
There are two ways to adjust the ride, the Height Adjustment Dial and the Flip-Handle. To navigate through the 3 height settings, you simply turn the dial located below the flip handle. Rotating the flip handle clockwise increases the tension in the spring while rotating it counterclockwise decreases tension in the spring.
