Your power unit is the first and most important component in designing pumping plant efficiency. Once you’ve calculated how much water horsepower you need to push water through your system, you need to select an engine powerful enough to get the job done.
Or power units are built around a remanufactured Cummins® 4BT turbocharged four-cylinder diesel stationary engine that packs a big enough punch to power large-scale sprinkler and center pivot irrigation systems.
We mount these rugged and reliable irrigation motors on their own sturdy steel stands for easy installation at any pumping plant. Our self-contained and compact packaging gives you greater flexibility for power unit placement. You can run them as they are, or under an awning with sufficient ventilation.
To keep your power plant cool, we’ve added a brand new, heavy-duty radiator. We encase the radiator and include a grille to keep large debris from blocking airflow to the unit. A high-efficiency shroud and rugged engine-mounted fan round out the cooling system.
Easy-to-use controls feature a keyed on and off switch, push-button starting, and analog instrumentation that displays engine RPM, oil pressure and coolant temperature. Safety systems monitor the motor’s oil pressure and coolant temperature and will cut off fuel to the engine if they reach unsafe levels. These simple safeguards will help keep your pump motor running for generations to come.
At the business end of the engine, we bolt on a rugged and reliable SAE #3 clutch that allows you to easily couple it to your pump drive or gear head via a 3-inch keyed shaft.
